Description
This is a full-time, benefited position that generally works Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. It is located in La Jolla at Scripps Clinic Torrey Pines, and no evenings or weekends are required. This Medical Assistant role includes both front office and back office responsibilities.

Your job duties:
Both front office and back office MA job duties
- Rooming patients, checking vitals, assisting with procedures
- Clinic prep assisting with Provider specific protocols
- Maintains a clean, organized, and safe environment
- Organizes and performs patient care services that support the physician’s practice
- Relaying instructions from the physician to the patient or authorized person
- Collecting patient data in person and by phone
- Documenting patient concerns, messages and care provided in the electronic medical record for the physician's review
- Administering medications specifically directed by the physician
- Scheduling of appointments and procedures
- Complete and accurate message taking
- Routing messages to the appropriate area for direction
- Order and referral entry, acquisition of pre-certifications
- Setting up of cases in EPIC plus basic registration and updating of demographics
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Completion of a formal Medical Assistant Program, or Medical Assistance Certification, or a minimum of two years of experience as a military corpsman
- BLS required in clinical setting for the Healthcare Provider by the American Heart Association (AHA
