Our Team is growing! We are hiring! AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Project Scheduler to join our New York City, NY office to support our Project Management team at the New Terminal One at JFK International Airport. This position is based out of the client’s project site in Building 111 at JFK Airport in Queens, NY.
We are looking for specific experience preparing and updating critical path method (CPM) schedules on large Construction projects dealing with the Port Authority (NY/NJ).
This is a highly analytical position, which involves the compilation, analysis, interpretation, and presentation of project schedule information. It requires attention to detail, a high-level of accuracy, and coordination with project managers across the project.

How will you contribute to the team?
• Develop and update summary level as well as detailed schedules.
• Develop lists of design, procurement, construction, and post construction activities based on review of design documents, examination of site conditions and discussions with Owners, design consultants and contractors.
• Identify major milestones, critical approvals and long lead procurement items.
• Determine reasonable schedule logic and constraints based on discussion with task owners and/or teams.
• Develop realistic activity durations based on production rates and available manpower based on discussion with task owners and/or teams.
• Assign resources (cost, labor or material) to activities and develops cash flow reports and resource histograms.
• Evaluate critical and near critical path activity sequences.
• Assess actual progress based on site inspections.
• Identify schedule changes and trends
• Develop earned value reports.
• Suggest corrective actions and/or develop recovery plans when delays are anticipated or occur.
• Review architect and contractor prepared schedules.
• Prepare post construction as-built schedules and lessons learned reports.
What will you contribute?
• Bachelor’s degree, Engineering or related fields of construction.
• 5+ years of Construction experience any Port Authority (NY/NJ) experience is a plus, but not required.
• Ability to complete assignment with a high-level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to support multiple resources and adapt to changing priorities.
• Must have strong understanding of CPM (Critical Path Method) concepts and calculations.
• Strong understanding of earned value concepts, calculations, and rules of credit.
• Proficiency in Primavera scheduling products (P6) and report preparation skills.
• Must thoroughly understand and utilize Information Technology in the performance of work including Internet, Microsoft Windows OS, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Project.
• English verbal & written communication skills are required.
• Spanish oral & written communication skills highly desired.
• Ability to travel internationally as needed (current passport, no restrictions, visa limitations, etc.).
• Skilled motivator, communicating with and instructing/training others.
• Ability to negotiate, influence and lead in a complex project organizational structure to produce results.

• Certification with AACE, PMI or CMAA is preferred.
