As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Distribution Hub in Suffolk, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated logistics and distribution locations, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, managing access points, and interacting with team members and visitors to deliver exceptional customer service. You will be an integral part of a collaborative team that values reliability, agility, and innovative solutions, all while putting people first and upholding the highest standards of integrity in every situation.

- Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
- Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
- Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
- Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
- Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
Responsibilities:
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies for the logistics and distribution location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for the logistics and distribution environment.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and loading areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or activities within the logistics and distribution location.
- Assist in emergency response activities as needed, maintaining communication with Allied Universal and site contacts.
- Complete detailed and accurate reports of security-related incidents, observations, and activities during each shift.
- Support site operations by providing directions and/or assistance to visitors, employees, and delivery personnel as needed.

- Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available
Minimum Requirements:
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
