The Boeing CompanyBoeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) seeks a Mid-Level Space Vehicle Engineer in Las Cruces, NM. This position will be responsible for health and safety of space vehicles (SV), subsystem analysis, and implementation and verification of specific products loaded to the Space Vehicle.
Specialized training will be provided on necessary skills for ground and Space Vehicle configuration management. Required certifications will be earned though on-the-job (OJT) training and self-study during allotted on-the-job time.
Primary Responsibilities
Ensure integrity of the ground system and command path in support of the mission.
Use MS-Windows or UNIX based computers for the development of the operational plan and analysis of data collected in support of planning future contacts or anomaly resolution.
Coordinate with management and peers to ensure integrity of operational products including procedures, tools, detailed event logging, and system configuration.
Analyze technical data and verify and sustain specific system configuration in accordance with defined parameters and operational requirements.
Monitor system performance and control system elements by initiating change commands to the system configuration to achieve mission objectives.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. A final U.S. Top Secret/SCI Clearance Pre-Start is required.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Las Cruces, NM.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Ability to obtain adjudicated Counterintelligence Polygraph
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
Successful completion of the Space Vehicle Certification program (Post Start), for continued employment, which requires a combination of self-study – on-the-job time allotted – and on-the-job (OJT) training.
After hours anomaly response is a requirement after qualification as part of a team rotation.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Classroom or work-related experience with aerospace or electrical engineering vehicles.

Shift:
This position is Day staff hours Monday-Friday, shift 1. Individual hours can vary amongst the team with 9/80 or 4x10 being a possibility. Most team members choose a standard M-F 8-hour workday.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range: $90,950 - $123,050
