Capgemini Government Solutions (CGS) is seeking a highly motivated Senior Systems Engineer to join our team to support our government clients.

Required Qualifications:

  • S. Citizenship Required  
  • Active DoD Top Secret/SCI Eligibility 
  • IAT Level II or equivalent 
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics. Fifteen years’ experience in designing and implementing information management systems may substitute for academic degree.
  • Ten years’ experience designing and implementing information management systems
  • Three years within the past five years of experience in product development, requirements generation, and testing methodologies, including direct control and responsibility over subordinate engineers working requirements, design, implementation, and testing of distributed cloud applications and services.
  • Three years within the past five years of experience in development, implementation, and administration of multi-tenant, enterprise web-based solutions using automated processes and tools to perform system availability and integrity monitoring, validate security and configuration compliance, and ensure sensitive data protection.
  • Three years within the past five years of experience with commercial cloud service providers engineering solutions in a Linux and Windows multi-tenant environment on commercial cloud services (Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure).

Job Responsibilities:

As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will:

  • Conducting systems investigations, analysis, providing recommendations, configurations, installation, and testing of new network hardware, and operating systems, including the evaluation of system utilization, monitoring response times, and primary support for detection and correction of operational problems.
  • Troubleshooting at the physical level of the network, testing devices at the logical level, working with agency protocols
  • Participate in planning design, technical review, and implementation.
  • Design, develop, and operationalize Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment, and Continuous Delivery solutions Utilizing mid-tier services, and other gateways to accomplish secure integrations and communications between SNOW and other disparate systems
  • Support and enhance build and release processes through automation using a combination of processes and existing tools
  • Design and implement DevOps solutions that leverage AWS / AZURE and internal products/service capabilities to meet requirements
  • Support transformation of established infrastructure using automation; Support building new systems environments, and upgrading/patching existing ones, through use of automation tooling
  • Provide hands-on support for the ongoing development of Infrastructure-As-Code (IAC) and support operation and maintenance team.
  • Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures
  • Design and develop reusable components, code and document custom automation frameworks, maintain scripts, and update these items as needed to build continuous delivery pipelines, ensuring rapid availability of the product
  • Develop and maintain automated test framework tools to facilitate Systems Engineer testing tasks; and i. Research and recommend innovative, and where applicable automate approaches for system administrations tasks
