Join Our Team as a Journeyman Electrician
At nVent, we design, manufacture, market, install and service high-performance products and solutions for mission-critical equipment, buildings and essential processes. We are seeking an ambitious and skilled Journeyman Electrician to join our overnight maintenance team in Anoka, MN. This is an outstanding opportunity to join our Maintenance & Facilities team, applying your expertise to ensure the smooth functioning of our production equipment and facility.
As a Journeyman Electrician at nVent, you will:
**Preventive Maintenance**: Perform preventive maintenance on all production equipment to ensure optimal functionality and minimize downtime.
**Technical Troubleshooting**: Diagnose and repair equipment issues related to electrical systems, controls, and PLCs, ensuring minimal disruption to production processes.
**Electrical Construction and Modification**: Construct and modify new and existing electrical circuits and distribution equipment in strict accordance with NEC requirements.
**Documentation and Reporting**: Maintain accurate records of equipment repairs and modifications, updating equipment files as necessary to ensure comprehensive documentation.
**Integration and Debugging**: Assist in the integration, start-up, and debugging of new or relocated equipment to ensure seamless operation.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
**Licensing**: A valid MN Electrician license (minimum Journeyman) or the ability to test for the MN Electrician License within 30 days.
**Technical Expertise**: Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical prints, including European style electrical prints, and strict adherence to National Electric Code rules.
**Experience**: A minimum of 4 years of electric/mechanical maintenance experience is preferred.
**PLC Skills**: PLC certification or demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, program, configure, and install PLC processors and components is preferred. Familiarity with PLC systems (Rockwell, Siemens) and HMI systems (Rockwell, iFix, Siemens) is a plus.
