About Eye Care Optometry Associates of National City
Eye Care Optometry Associates of National City is a second-generation practice that has served the local communities for over 40 years. In addition to offering full-scope optometry, the team of doctors are well-known for their specialties and the ability to manage diabetic retinopathy and glaucoma patients locally. The practice is also growing service offerings, including scleral contact lenses, myopia control, and dry eye specialties. To help support ongoing business growth, the practice is looking for an Optometrist to join the team of six employees.
The practice is committed to providing patient-centric care and performs thorough exams to detect ocular conditions and systemic issues. The team leverages advanced diagnostic technology, including an integrated Topcon autorefractor/topographer with a digital phoropter, optical coherence tomography, fundus photos, and Zeiss FDT. The optical department offers a curated selection of eyewear from world-class brands—no matter the budget. Customers will also enjoy a one-year hassle-free warranty for eyewear replacements and a three-month exchange on styles.
About the Optometrist Opening
Eye Care Optometry Associates of National City is seeking a well-rounded Optometrist passionate about providing personalized and individualized care to ensure excellent eye health. You'll practice full-scope optometry and promote good eye health and the importance of annual eye exams through patient education. The position is 40 hours weekly with some weekend work—approximately 16 to 18 patients are cared for daily. The practice is looking for a friendly team play who enjoys working with patients and discussing prescribed lenses based on their occupation and lifestyle. A candidate experienced in scleral contact lenses, dry eye, and the ability to communicate with Spanish-speaking patients will be an asset to the team.
This is an excellent opportunity to work with like-minded peers and collaborate with other Optometrists in the community through social events. To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate leadership, communication, interpersonal skills, and compassion for patient health and safety. The ideal candidate will want to continuously develop skills through mentorship with experienced doctors and be willing to integrate new techniques and innovations that improve patient care and services.
Minimum qualifications include:
Optometry license in the state of California
