Industrial Filter Lab Technician

Job Summary:

• We are seeking a motivated Entry-Level Industrial Filtration Lab Technician to join our laboratory team. In this role, you will assist in testing and analyzing filtration materials to support product development. This is a hands-on position ideal for candidates looking to build a career in industrial lab work and filtration technology.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• This position will conduct testing of HVAC filtration. This includes flow testing, dirt testing, and wash testing
• Assure accuracy of testing data and manage the documentation and storing of all results.
• Maintain a complete and accurate inventory of archived test filters and cycle the inventory out when the duration of containment has ended.
• Calibrate, clean, and maintain laboratory instruments
• Assist with failure analysis and troubleshooting of filtration performance issues.
• Collaborate with engineers to interpret data and support process improvements

Experience, Skills & Education:

• Must know and understand basic principles used in Engineering, fabricating, manufacturing and testing.
• Strong interest in lab work and industrial processes.
• Familiarity with common lab techniques and instruments related to filtration
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and Windows software is required
• Must be able to create and maintain spreadsheets and databases in Microsoft Excel.

• Must be well organized and demonstrate ability to simultaneously handle multiple duties, prioritize, follow through on all tasks and projects, and meet pre-determined deadlines with limited supervision
• Must keep a clean and organized environment within the whole lab facility.
• Ability to demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills with internal and external customers and in a 1-on-1 or team situation.
• Consistently demonstrate a positive company image to K&N customers and co-workers.
