Site Production Planner

Overview

We have a vacancy for a Site Production Planner. The individual will schedule production with consideration given to all relevant inputs, sales, demand, production capacity, efficiency, logistics, customer requirements and material availability.

This person will provide best lead times to sales team for all enquiries, analyse free stock demand and replenish as needed to maintain acceptable lead-times.
They will compile a weekly production plan with Operations manager, allocate stock to new orders or schedule into production,
Ensure all products are produced and prepared for dispatch on time and highlight any problem with sales team/ Op manager. Take advantage of any opportunity to improve on lead time and pass this onto the sales team/ customer service.
Liaise with sales team and transport manager regarding weekly dispatches.
Attend and participate in weekly Operations meetings
They will schedule production orders into the production plan, provide lead times for enquiries, order pallets for standard and cut work, stock takes of finished goods, allocate appropriate stock to orders. Provide stock list for allocation to dispatch staff and cut work list.
Draw up weekly production plan with operations manager.
Schedule orders best fit into plan,
Provide Analysis of stock reports, free stock reports

Responsibilities:

• Schedule Production for all lines considering all relevant input (sales demands, production capacity, efficiency, logistics, customer requirements and material availability,
• Allocate stock to orders or schedule in appropriate week with sales team
• Compile weekly production plan with Op manager.
• Liaise with Production staff and dispatch with plan and material to be allocated
• Liaise with sales team on weekly dispatches
• Manage all dispatch day shift operators.
• Schedule all cut orders of material for same,
• Gather and compile reports as per Operations manager
• Carry out monthly stock checks on both PVC and PET goods
• Liaise with Operations manager on raw materials needs and liaise with Maintenance regarding a plan for unforeseen problems.
