About the role

Description

 FSM Group, providing airport fuel consortium management oversight, fuel logistics, commercial aircraft fueling, and GSE maintenance, seeks an experienced General Manager with a proven successful work history to oversee the Company's aviation Fuel Farm operation at Denver International Airport. Duties would include:

  • Maintains an uncompromising dedication to providing high-quality service to all of our customers. This is achieved by accomplishing all duties per established airline and Company regulations.
  • Represents FSM within the Consortium, airline and airport communities. This position is the “face” of FSM at the Denver International Airport.
  • Coordinates and monitors facility operations to ensure compliance with customer, government, and company policies and procedures.
  • Maintains and monitors all contracts, leases, permits, and agreements for compliance and advises FSM Corporate, Consortium Chairman and Consortium members advised of their status.
  • Collaborates with airline, airport, and legal stakeholders as necessary to support the consortium and FSM’s business objectives.
  • Directs the workforce in their daily duties, and directs work assignments to achieve performance, quality, and efficiency of assigned staff personnel.
  • Monitors quality assurance program/records, ensures all applicable procedures are complying, and maintains accounting records and facility inspection records.
  • Develops, manages, and adheres to the annual fuel facility operating budget. Participates in leading the annual Consortium meeting and explains budget and budget variances to Consortium members.
  • Assist in management, administration, and special project requirements.
  • Organize and submit reports to the airlines, airport authorities, and government authorities, as required. Participate in meetings with groups or organizations required pertaining to operations.
  • Develop and revise operational procedures as required by changes in contract, regulation, policy, construction, and necessity.
  • Oversee physical fuel movements with scheduler and operations personnel and ensure proper physical inventory procedures are followed and properly documented.
  • Maintain communications with employees and monitor manpower schedules and requirements. Coordinate training of operational employees to ensure proper training is accomplished and properly documented.
  • Monitor supervisor-required reports and follow up on all operational irregularities while enforcing employee work rules/regulations and report as required to the Consortium Chair. Assist in the career development of employees for future management succession, as required.
  • Participate in the Quality Service, Safety Management System, and Security Programs.
  • Manage, coordinate, and control all loss prevention responsibilities, all integrated safety performance factors as required by the Company, and focus on evaluating those reporting, under your direction, their participation in various related safety programs i.e., Loss Prevention, etc.
  • Interview, hire, discipline, and coordinate all training as required.
  • Additionally, the position requires light traveling, at times extended and flexible hours, and the ability to grow in the Company.

  • Possess 5 to 10 years of bulk fuel storage and handling management experience preferred or equivalent experience in a related field.
