Visiting Assistant Professor, Counseling and Human Development

The Warner Graduate School of Education and Human Development at the University of Rochester seeks a full-time Visiting Assistant Professor in Counseling and Human Development. This is a one-year term of employment beginning on August 15, 2025.

The principal duties associated with this position are to:
- Teach graduate-level courses in Counseling and Human Development
- In collaboration with the program director, advise students in the Counseling and Human Development program to choose courses, define specializations, and explore career options.
- Fulfill appropriate service roles in the university and community

Qualifications

Ideal candidates for this position will have qualifications and experiences that include:

- An earned Ph.D. or Ed.D. in Counseling or Human Development, as well as have experience working with children and adolescents, or significant progress toward an earned Ph.D. or Ed.D.
- Experience in course design, teaching, and student support at the college/university level.
- The ability to work productively with collaborators on curricular, pedagogical, and/or research programs.
