Department

You will be the part of FLSmidth Cement’s Service team who is responsible for sales and execution of aftermarket services for all FLSmidth products. This involves extensive regional travelling and involves high level technical expertise and customer handling skills.

Role

As the Regional Sales Manager, you will be part of FLSmidth Cement USA’s Service Site Sales team and responsible for sales and customer service in the Mid-Atlantic sales district covering all the FLSmidth brands. This includes Pfister, Automation, Pneumatic Transport, Pyro & Grinding, Services and Installation of cement process parts. The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for developing sales programs and the implementation of customer development plans for the cement plants within the district.

The Mid-Atlantic sales district is comprised of cement plants that are located within South Carolina, Virginia, Tennessee, Illinois, Kentucky, Missouri, and Michigan. The sales manager will have the flexibility to live anywhere within the district.

The Regional Sales Manager must work closely with peers in the department and engage plant level and corporate based customer personal to develop technical proposals and a detailed scope of work for supply. The incumbent must have project management skills, as a portion of the job is also ensuring products are delivered to our customers on time and within the specifications that the parts and projects were sold.

Your responsibilities

· Promote sales by providing customer assistance, proposal preparation and technical guidance.

· Must have worked in cement or related industries with 5 – 7 years of experience.

· Possess the necessary skills to negotiate orders up to 3 million USD in value.

· Interface with customer, understand customer needs and provide solutions covering the full life cycle of the FLSmidth portfolio.

· Own the customer relationship ensuring the generation and maturation of sales leads from site visits.

· Provide deep knowledge of customer issues and business challenges.

· Provide market intelligence and guidance regarding customer needs within the district.

· Maintenance of CRM with accurate information, working in collaboration with all other sales functions.

· Minimum travel of 100 visits to customer sites per year.

· Ensure high-quality customer service and issue resolution.

· Identify client business requirements that support proposals and order intake.

What you bring.

· Should possess excellent communication skills.

· Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience

· Knowledge of industrial safety principles and practices.

· Ability to communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, and vendors/contractor.

· Should be capable of learning and interpreting details related to heavy industry equipment.

· Should have proper knowledge of the manufacturing process of the industry.

· Strong time management skills at site Team player.

Education Qualification

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, technical degree or similar educational qualification.

Experience

5 – 7 years of relevant experience.
