About the role
Our partner is looking for a Manager, Order Management in Portland, OR.
In this role the leader of order management is responsible for the coordination of fulfillment, managing customer order activity through the order fulfillment cycle.
Responsibilities
- Ability to handle as well as coordinate a team that processes internal/external the entire life cycle of purchase orders management
- Plan and guide regular meetings to align demand vs deliveries, examples but not limited to:
- Vendor management
- Work with warehouse to improve delivery performance
- Assist planning team with inventory optimization (Inventory Turnover and Safety Stock management)
- Coordination with Repair Team to optimize REN utilization lowering operational costs
- Support reverse logistic flow with WH and Transport (Surplus/DEF/etc)
- Ability to run cost out initiatives to improve E2E
- Coordinate with Transport team on deliveries
- Follow-up on exceptions in the MRP
- Knowledge with setting and working with Key Performance Indicators
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree in supply chain, operations, business, logistics, project management, or equivalent practical experience.
- 7+ years of experience in supply chain or operational domain that includes working with KPIs
- Skilled with business tools (MS Office), outlook, word, excel, and powerpoint.
- Experience working in a large matrix international organization is beneficial
- Working knowledge of ERP systems (SAP). With the ability to coach and mentor a team on best practices (e.g. material movement/management).
- Expected travel 25%
- Convey a high degree of supply chain and analytics proficiency
- Not restricting himself/herself within the Roles & Responsibilities boundaries and willingness to reach out for getting things done.
- Ability to work on and through ambiguity to provide clarity
- Can communicate complex supply chain information in a simple and transparent manner
- Function effectively in a time-sensitive situation in environments of rapid change and conflicting demands and is capable of balancing responsibility
