Position Summary:

This position is responsible for coordinating all initial intake for clients impacted by mental health issues which has resulted in a DSM-IV/DSM-V diagnosis and are targeted for mental health services by the Division of Mental Health. The Patient Access Specialist will triage incoming referrals, verify insurance, match new clients to the appropriate provider, schedule initial appointments and process ongoing financial billing.

• Four-day (32 hour) work week
• Eligible for $150/month ($1,800 annually) in student loan repayment, available at hire
• Earn $750 for every person you refer who is hired and remains employed for 6 months and receive an additional $500 every year as long as you both remain employed
• Bilingual wage premiums available for individuals fluent in Spanish or Burmese

Requirements:

Education:

• Bachelor degree preferred but not required. A High School Diploma or GED required.

Experience:

• Must have at least one (1) year of work experience in medical registration or revenue cycle operations preferably with a Community Mental Health Center.

Skills/Knowledge:

• Works well under supervision as well as independently.
• Able to handle stressful situations while maintaining a calm composure and conduct.
