Riverside Research is seeking a full-time Data Scientist to support the National MASINT Office in Reston, VA. This position will be part of a multi-disciplinary team supporting MASINT mission area managers through identifying, analyzing, characterizing, and helping manage risk for multiple mission areas. The Data Scientist will help with assessing performance of requirements clean up and analysis. Furthermore, they will gather, characterize, and analyze data to assist with data science and analysis related to the mission areas. They will also utilize data to conduct capabilities determinations and gap analysis applicable to the respective mission areas. Finally, they will help with data visualization for both risk and capabilities analysis.

Job Responsibilities:
- Identify sources and drivers of performance risk, as well as the potential impact to MASINT mission areas
- Assist with characterizing, prioritizing, and managing risk within mission areas
- Determine capabilities applicable to mission areas and perform capability gaps analysis
- Conduct risk trend analysis
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- Active TS clearance with SCI adjudication
- Bachelor’s in mathematics, computer science, data science, data analysis, or related fields
- Intelligence professional with a minimum of 8 years’ experience supporting supporting data gathering, curation, analysis, and visualization
- Familiarity with Joint Risk Analysis Methodology, Tableau, Confluence, or Delphi Method for decision making
- Effective/efficient written/verbal communication skills; proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Self-motivated, detail oriented, responsible team player able to work independently with minimal daily direction
- Ability to work and interact with technically and organizationally diverse personnel
- Open to occasional travel
Desired Qualifications:
- Familiarity with the National MASINT Office, DIA, or US and NATO MASINT missions
- Intelligence professional with over 8 years’ experience supporting data gathering, curation, analysis, and visualization
- Familiarity with various MASINT systems and sensors, and technical data standards
- Familiarity with various coding languages such as R or Python
- Master’s degree in mathematics, computer science, data science, data analysis, or related fields
- Professional certifications in project management, requirements management, and/or intelligence exploitation and analysis (e.g. PMP, DAWIA, GPC)
