Cybersecurity Engineer Job Description:
This position is for a Cybersecurity Engineering Professional in the Rotary & Mission Systems Technical Operations organization. Be part of the key Cyber engineering team that is building new security architectures across a large and critical DoD system of systems. Provide Cyber engineering expertise, while understanding architectural needs and finding cyber solutions that can fit that need. Lead the documentation and review process in new designs, providing a critical approach to design regarding STIGS.
Research new Cybersecurity capabilities, performing trade studies, and providing expertise to peers and leadership. Develop system documentation for information system authorization, security management, and continuous monitoring of both networked and standalone classified systems.
Cybersecurity Engineer Required Skills:
· Experience in software system design and development
· Experience with devSecOps solutions
· Experience using the Agile Methodology
Cybersecurity Engineer Highly Desirable Skills:
· Knowledge of MBSE based design
· Cyber Engineering experience
· Knowledge with Linux systems and large system development
· Knowledge in PKI
· Cloud experience such as Kubernetes and containers
· Experience in scripting languages like Python.
· Basic knowledge of networking exposure with ability to understand packet captures.
· Effective oral and written communication skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
Cybersecurity Engineer Additional Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related master’s degree.
· Must be able to obtain and keep a DoD Secret Clearance which means you must be a U.S. Citizen with no dual citizenship.
· Proactive/self-starter. Task driven with ability to work independently.
· Team player that takes ownership and develops relationships that fosters team success.
