Job Description:
As a Materials Management Specialist at Carbon Robotics you’ll oversee inventory and logistics operations across our Livonia and Commerce, MI locations. This role requires frequent travel between the two sites and involves managing a separate storage facility, coordinating shipments, and ensuring efficient material handling and tracking.You’ll do whatever it takes - which might include travel - to ensure our customers have reliable and safe products.
Location: Livonia, MI
What you’ll do:
- Oversee the offloading of heavy machinery and transportation within the warehouse.
- Manage inventory storage, including sorting, counting, and organizing raw goods.
- Operate forklifts for material handling; forklift certification is preferred.
- Receive items based on Purchase Orders (POs).
- Execute ERP manufacturing processes, including work orders and goods received.
- Coordinate outgoing shipments, both domestic and international, including packaging, crating, and wrapping.
- Track the progress of the manufacturing line against customer deliveries.
- Anticipate material shortages and proactively address them.
- Support the resolution of issues with incoming goods from suppliers, such as shipping damages or discrepancies in shipment information.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities for Success::
- Proven experience in material management or a related field.
- Forklift experience; certification preferred.
- Familiarity with ERP manufacturing processes.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to travel frequently between Livonia and Commerce, MI locations.

The compensation range outlined is based on a target budgeted base salary. Individual base pay depends on various factors such as relevant experience and skill, Interview assessments and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements. Offers are determined using our equitable hiring practices. Carbon Robotics offers additional compensation in the form of benefits premiums, pre-IPO stock options and On Target Earning commissions for appropriate positions. Base pay ranges are reviewed each year. We are committed to the principle of pay equity – paying employees equitably for similar work.Carbon Robotics' base salary pay range:$55,000—$80,000 USD
