Job Overview
The Project Manager will be responsible for equipment design and project execution. This role will work closely with the Project Engineering team with design, schedule, and management of all the technical engineering and manufacturing activities aimed at assuring project timeline accuracy and highest level of quality from conception to completion.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions/Responsibilities

- Completes engineering projects by organizing and controlling project elements.
- Direct communication with the customer for the assigned projects, including handling change orders and submitting required documentation.
- Develops project objectives (budget and schedule) by reviewing project proposals, plans and consulting with Engineering, Planning, and Manufacturing.
- Determines project responsibilities by identifying project phases, elements, and reporting schedule performance for project tasks.
- Determines project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, and performance standards.
- Develops project schedule by studying project plan and specifications, calculating time requirements, and sequencing project elements with project team.
- Maintains project schedule by monitoring project progress, coordinating activities, and resolving problems to support on time delivery.
- Controls project plan by reviewing design, specifications, scope changes, and recommending actions.
- Controls project costs by reviewing cost implications and consistently reviewing allocated project budget costs vs. actual costs incurred.
- Prepares project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends and recommending actions.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Maintains project database, entering and backing up data.
- Maintains product and company reputation by complying with federal and state regulations.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Select mechanical components and produce the related justifying documents.
- Create / modify bills of materials as required for complex systems.
- System engineering and packaging of pumping and vaporizing systems.
- Prepare Process Flow Diagrams (PFD) and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID).
- Provide technical support for the company’s sales team and site personnel for existing equipment.
- Ability to work with and communicate at all levels of the organization from shop floor to senior executives.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but does serve as a mentor to the Projects team.
Work Environment
The employee must be able to sit, stand, or work at the computer for prolonged periods. The position supports operations in the manufacturing facility, which requires being on the shop floor for extended periods of time. Safety equipment must be utilized as specified to enter production areas. May be subject to hot and cold environments, loud noise, and typical manufacturing exposures. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands, and reach with hands and arms. This role may require both domestic and international travel to a customer’s office or site, production facility or industrial/construction job site. Conditions will vary at each location, but the conditions listed above will generally apply. Candidates will be required to show a driving abstract with a clean driving history for travel between the Nikkiso facilities and client sites/offices as required. A valid driver’s license is necessary.
