About this position: 

LMCU is looking for a Senior Data Engineer who will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining data models and pipelines that support our business needs and enable self-service analytics. This role requires a deep understanding of data engineering principles and best practices, as well as the ability to work with various technologies and tools.

 

What you’ll do: 

  • Design, build, maintain, and optimize data models aligned to business needs, providing harmonized models ready for consumption. Support data integration, data migration, and data modeling.

  • Extract, transform, and load data from various sources. Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines to ensure optimal performance.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand Business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

  • Ensure data quality and consistency across all data models and pipelines.

  • Assist in preparing data models for self-service analytics.

 

What You’ll Bring:

  • 7+ years of experience in data engineering and working with data pipelines.

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.

  • Relevant certifications in data engineering or cloud platforms are preferred.

  • Proven experience in data engineering and working with data pipelines and proficiency in ETL & ELT Processes.

  • Experience with data orchestration tools such as Fabric Data Factory, FiveTran, Airflow or AWS Glue.

  • Familiarity with data governance and cataloging tools like Purview, Atlan, Alation, Collibra, Informatica, or Precisely Data Integrity Suite.

  • Strong knowledge of data modeling techniques such as Kimball, Medallion, Inmon, Star Schema or Snowflake Schema.

  • Knowledge of programming languages such as Python and SQL

  • Understanding of data Lake / Lakehouse technologies such as OneLake, DataBricks, Snowflake, BigQuery, and Redshift.
