THE ROLE
The Strategic Philanthropy Consultant will serve as the primary strategic support for Legends philanthropic partnerships across several college and university partnerships. They will be responsible for day-to-day support and strategy for on site personnel and will work directly with the Vice President.
ESSENTIAL DUTES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as the primary strategic support for select philanthropic partnerships (University of Nebraska, Georgetown University, and Le Moyne College)
- Provide day-to-day guidance, oversight, and coaching to Legends’ on-site staff at all three partner institutions
- Collaborate closely with Legends leadership to ensure alignment of partnership goals with organizational strategy, HR, legal, and finance
- Develop and execute fundraising strategies in coordination with university stakeholders to ensure delivery of measurable results
- Monitor project timelines and performance metrics to ensure successful execution within partnership parameters.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with all Legends & ASM policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Nonprofit Management, Business, Higher Education, or a related field required; master’s degree preferred
- 5+ years of experience in philanthropic strategy, fundraising, university advancement, or strategic consulting
- Proven success managing or supporting university or nonprofit partnerships
- Experience managing or advising cross-functional teams and projects remotely across multiple locations
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Strong understanding of university advancement, development, and fundraising landscapes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to guide and influence staff and stakeholders
- Highly organized and able to manage competing priorities across multiple institutions
- Strategic thinker with a consultative mindset and ability to work independently without direct supervision.
