CLASS DEFINITION

A Quality Assurance Analyst provides operational review and evaluation of programmatic documentation to determine validity and compliance in accordance with program policy and procedures. The work of this class involves no supervisory duties or responsibilities.

Employees receive close supervision from an operational supervisor. Employees in this class work a conventional work week that will include occasional evening and weekend work. Work is performed both in an office and at locations of cameras throughout Baltimore City and requires minimal to no physical exertion. Candidates will be required to walk/stand in the outdoors for extended period of time.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

On or before the date of filing the application, each candidate must:

EDUCATION: Have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.                                 

AND

EXPERIENCE: Have two years of experience in reviewing processes for accuracy and completeness and identifying errors and invalid documentation that do not meet minimum thresholds.

OR

NOTES EQUIVALENCY: Have an equivalent combination of education and experience.

LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATES: Must have valid Maryland Class C non-commercial driver’s license or equivalent out of state driver’s license acceptable to the Office of Risk Management and a Baltimore City driver’s permit are required

KNOWLEDGES, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Knowledge of modern office methods and procedures, computer equipment, filing systems, business letter and report writing techniques.

  • Knowledge of statistical and record keeping principles and procedures.

  • Ability to effectively communicate with the public, vendors, contractors and City staff, verbally and orally.

  • Ability to perform technical operational work.

  • Ability to make independent judgment with speed and accuracy.

  • Ability to compile and prepare clear and concise reports, correspondence, policies, procedures, and other written materials.

  • Ability to organize and prioritize a variety of projects and multiple tasks in an effective and timely manner.

  • Ability to collect, compile, analyze and interpret operational and technical information and data in an effective manner.

  • Ability to conduct operational and organizational studies and make recommendations for improvements.

  • Ability to follow both written and verbal directions and instructions.

Probation 

All people, including current City employees, selected for this position must complete a mandatory six-month probation. 

Eligibility 

Qualified candidates will be considered for vacancies as they arise, for a period of at least six months. The decision of the Director of Human Resources with respect to acceptable minimum qualifications is final.
