Part Time Cook & Caterer

We’re looking for a dependable, organized, and caring Part-Time Cook to join our child care center team! This role is vital in providing healthy, properly portioned meals to young children while maintaining a clean, well-stocked kitchen. Position Details:

• Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, Friday

• Hours: 8 hours/day (24 hours per week)

• Pay: Starting at $21/hour

• Mileage: Paid for deliveries

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook nutritious meals and snacks according to planned menus and portion guidelines

• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen areas, equipment, and tools

• Deliver meals to two nearby centers using your own reliable transportation (mileage reimbursed)

• Monitor and maintain food inventory; order supplies as needed

• Follow food safety regulations and allergy-specific protocols

• Maintain accurate records of food usage, delivery logs, and inventory

• Ensure timely meal preparation and delivery according to each center’s schedule

Requirements:

• Experience cooking in a professional or large-scale setting preferred

• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards (ServeSafe certification is a plus)

• Ability to manage time and kitchen operations independently

• Reliable personal transportation and valid driver’s license

• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods

• Passion for supporting the health and well-being of children
