We are seeking a motivated Principal Product Manager to help bring new & differentiated security solutions to the market through the combination of best-of-breed and best-of-suite security capabilities. You will partner with security, services, and engineering teams to create, scale, and deliver new security solutions that are driven by innovation, quality, and reliability. The scale of Microsoft Security, Compliance, and Identity operations means that you will be partnering with a diverse, worldwide team ensuring that our solutions are best in class for the world. This role is on our Microsoft Defender for Endpoint team. Along with your fellow Product Managers, you will be responsible for ensuring that all endpoints receive our industry-leading protection value while at the same time making sure that operating the product is as easy as possible for the IT administrator.

Responsibilities

  • Help drive the product security vision, roadmap, and priorities.
  • Define and drive feature specifications and work closely with engineering teams to deliver against the roadmap you set.
  • Interface with customers and the community for feedback and usage information to develop product insights.
  • Capture market competitive and trend data to inform product direction.
  • Work closely with customers and partners to support the delivery of customer-facing documentation, blogs, videos, and representation in conferences.
  • Become a subject matter expert in ownership and domain areas.
  • Drive cross team collaboration with globally distributed teams.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree AND 8+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development
    • OR equivalent experience.

Other Requirements

  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft background and Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 10+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • Experience working with security teams, product groups and operational teams.
  • Experience analyzing products, identifying potential security risks, and prioritizing security research/development.
  • Demonstrated verbal/written communication and data presentation skills, including communicating effectively with different business groups and project teams.
  • Ability to collaborate with others and work as a team and with stakeholders across the globe.
  • Product Management experience with an endpoint security solution
