Job Description

Role Summary

The Senior Analyst, Digital Ad Sales Finance will support core ad sales finance processes for the Entertainment & Lifestyle group’s media properties which include NBC, Bravo, Oxygen, Syfy, E!, and USA Network.  The role will also assist with broader NBCU Digital portfolio reporting and analyses.

• This role will provide ongoing support to the Senior Director of Entertainment & Lifestyle Group, including:
  • Ownership and improvement of Sales reporting and metric analysis, identifying key trends and variances
  • Support revenue forecasting process (budget, long range plan, estimates)
  • Leverage best practices with peers to develop consistent processes
  • Execute routine postmortem analyses and ad hoc historical requests
• Manage Monthly Close process for the Entertainment & Lifestyle Group, coordinating with Ad Sales and Network finance teams on revenue accounting and recognition across Direct IO, programmatic and partnership revenue streams
• Assist with broader portfolio reporting and ad hoc analyses
• Gain in-depth knowledge of all Sales & Finance systems used for reporting (SAP, Operative, Salesforce, Business Intelligence, etc.)
• Develop expertise in digital and streaming ad market trends, growth, and competition
• Work cross-functionally with sales, strategy, planning, and inventory

Qualifications

Qualifications & Characteristics

• BA/BS 4-year degree
• 2+ years of finance experience
• Demonstrated analytical strength and process mindset; ability to identify and resolve key issues quickly
• Strong work ethic with an eagerness to proactively help solve problems
• Team player with strong interpersonal & communication skills with the ability to work with key constituents (sales, planning, finance, accounting, etc.)
• Thorough knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
• Excellent organization skills and proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Demonstrates an interest and knowledge of media

• Must be willing to work in New York, NY
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
• Must be 18 years or older

Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.

This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
