About the role

Job Summary:

The Providence Center Director of Clinical Services will provide direction and support to Clinicians and Managers of clinical programs at TPC to insure quality and consistent clinical services are maintained.

Duties and Responsibilities:

In conjunction with the CCO and Senior Director of Clinical Services, lead the clinical and therapeutic services that support and promote a holistic, client-centered approach.

Supervise and coach clinicians, primarily in group meetings, and in accordance with Center policies, CARF standards, and BHDDH regulations. Maintain an effective flow of communication and positive and productive group dynamics. Provide consultation to staff on issues related to clients’ clinical treatment.

Provide individual supervision for newly hired clinicians in conjunction with Department Manager to ensure consistent, quality clinical practices.

Provide clinical supervision to unlicensed staff in conjunction with Clinical Training Manager and other approved clinical supervisors. Supervision frequency may vary depending on whether these supervision hours are being used toward licensure or being completed to meet insurance requirements. Ensure adherence to supervision note documentation, processes, and note co-signatures.

Provide oversight to the Behavioral Health Outpatient Program for both child and adult services.

Work with the Quality Improvement team to improve clinical policies and procedures, EPIC workflows, etc. Serve as liaison in this role to help roll out necessary initiatives to clinical staff.

Work with Revenue Cycle team to improve timely documentation of clinicians as well as decreasing un-billable encounters due to provider credentialing issues.

Work with Clinical Training Manager to offer trainings to clinical staff geared towards CCBHC EBPs and other identified education needs.

Complete recordkeeping in accordance with Health Information Services (HIS) and other Center requirements and abide by Center confidentiality policy.

Complete progress notes with appropriate format.

Develop and implement a plan of care with ongoing consumer input.

Complete a clear, specific, behaviorally oriented treatment plan as required, with consumer signature.

Monitor confidentiality in accordance with Center policy and legal requirements.

Complete required reports and evaluations.

Follow required office procedures in a cooperative manner.

Initiate and process incident reports as per Center guidelines.

Adhere to Infection Control protocols.

Maintain active involvement in professional and lay mental health organizations within the community.

Maintain cooperative relationships with Center staff, supervisors, consumers and their families, community agencies and the public.

Communicate with various local agencies and other departments or teams at The Center as needed.
