Engineering Manager

We are looking for an Engineering Manager that values career development, mentorship and will support the IT Development team as we scale.

Responsibilities:

• Lead, coach, mentor and inspire a team of Software Engineers, QA, Product Managers, working within a Scrum framework on high quality solutions in response to Stakeholder requirements.
• Lead SCRUM processes like daily stand-ups, sprint planning, demos and retrospectives.
• Drive complex technical, architecture, design, and product discussions.
• Identify and fill gaps on the team and create the processes necessary for the team's success.
• Oversee both the software development process and technology to help make the right decisions while driving improvements and adjustments.
• Work with product managers, product owners, software architects and key stakeholders to draft release plans for product delivery.
• Anticipate and address issues within the team around communication, underperformance, interpersonal dynamics, and unclear ownership.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience building software applications
• 4+ years of in an engineering management role or technical leadership role, providing mentorship and coaching to mid and senior level software engineers, and technical roles.
• Experience working with complex SaaS platforms.
• Understands and practices agile software development and management
• Identifies problems and drives team to reach solutions and make decisions
• Experience in delivering an exceptionally high-quality product in terms of the functionality, as well as the platform's overall performance and reliability.
• Experience in managing complex software projects with dependencies to other development teams and timelines is a plus
• Deep understanding of all phases of software development lifecycle from analyzing needs to delivery of working software.
• Passionate about helping engineers at all levels develop new skills and advance their careers.
• Demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively within engineering, development and across functional teams.
• Comfortable managing team members with different skill sets and technical areas of focus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
