Position Summary, Job Requirements & Responsibilities

What We’re Looking For:

If you are a creative and experienced Business Intelligence Analyst who enjoys modernizing approaches to communicating findings throughout an organization we have a role for you! Working on Iridium’s IT Data and Analystics team, the Business Intelligence Analyst III works closely with leaders across product, finance, and marketing departments to support and implement high-quality, data-driven decisions.  This position will use advanced data modeling, predictive modeling and analytical techniques to interpret key findings from company data and leverage these insights into initiatives that will support business outcomes.  This position is also responsible for  building dashboards, data apps, analytics projects and presenting to stakeholders to communicate findings.  If you have strong analytical  and enjoy finding creative solutions to complex problems using modern tools on a cloud platform to enable your work, this is the role for you!

 

What You’ll Do:

• Interact with business teams and system analysts to understand business requirements and translate to value-add business intelligence solutions
• Design, build, and deploy BI solutions such as reports, dashboards, and ad-hoc data exploration
• Use advanced analytics skills to generate and deliver quality analysis to customers/clients in a professional, efficient, and timely manner. Build quality presentations and present your findings to business stakeholders
• Build domain knowledge about the business and satellite infrastructure to be able to answer business inquiries
• Present / deliver analytic results and promote the use of BI tools across Iridium.
• Develop, analyze, and modify processes, data structures, and models to support analytic outcomes
• Perform administration and user support tasks for the corporate-wide BI platform

Experience & Education Requirements / EEO

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology/Systems, Business Administration, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field; master's degree preferred
• 5+ year of proven experience in data science, business intelligence, or a similar role, preferably in a leadership capacity
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets and generate actionable insights
• Expertise in data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
• Strong proficiency in SQL and moderate proficiency in other data manipulation and analysis languages (Python, R, Scala, Java, etc.)
• Experience with cloud data management platforms and architectures (e.g., Snowflake, AWS data & analytics tools, etc.)

• Demonstrated ability to build strong internal relationships and managing key stakeholders, including senior management

• Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to present complex data insights to both technical and non-technical audiences, facilitating understanding and buy-in
• Proactive and detail-oriented mindset, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines and work independently
