Platform Team Leader – Software (m/f/d)

The Role

We are looking for a hands-on and mission-driven Platform Team Leader – Software (m/f/d) to
lead a cross-functional team focused on the test, deployment, production, and certification
of our robotic systems. This role is critical in ensuring our robots are operationally ready,
secure, and compliant, bridging the gap between software, operations, and our end users.
You will lead and coordinate a team of experts, ensuring seamless delivery of robust,
secure, and field-ready platforms.

• Act as the subject matter expert on radio communications including setup, configuration, and best practices for use within our robotic platforms
• Own the definition and documentation of deployment procedures ensuring teams and customers know exactly how to operate and integrate our robots
• Serve as the key technical liaison between the software engineering team and customer-facing teams to ensure successful deployments and ongoing robot usage
• Translate system-level needs and field feedback into technical improvements
• Lead a multidisciplinary team of engineers including testing, cybersecurity, DevOps, and production
• Provide guidance, set priorities, and ensure high performance across the team
• Oversee the bring-up and production-readiness of robots in coordination with hardware and software teams
• Define and continuously improve processes and tools for scaling production
• Drive and coordinate the certification efforts for cybersecurity and quality standards
• Ensure the platform meets internal and external compliance requirements

Your Profile

• Background in field robotics, defense applications, or critical infrastructure systems
• Demonstrated expertise in deploying and configuring embedded or robotic systems in real-world production environments
• Proven track record of leading technical teams in robotics, embedded systems, or complex mechatronic domains
• In-depth knowledge of communication protocols such as CAN, Ethernet, serial, and wireless, along with strong networking fundamentals
• Solid understanding of advanced communication technologies, including LTE/4G/5G, Starlink, tactical radios, and secure networking through VPNs
• High proficiency in Linux environments, with hands-on experience using command-line tools for system deployment, monitoring, and debugging
• Familiarity with tasks such as firmware flashing, system configuration, and troubleshooting hardware-software integration issues
• Strong organizational and interpersonal communication skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams
• Programming proficiency in C++ is advantageous
• Experience with ROS (Robot Operating System) is a plus
• Familiarity with certification processes is considered an asset
• Excellent command of English, both written and verbal
