Senior .Net Developer

Planet Technologies, the Nation’s leading Microsoft services provider to the public sector, is looking for a highly motivated individual to join our growing team as a Senior .Net Developer. In this role, you will be supporting impactful projects that benefit our country.
Planet Technologies is looking for a Senior .Net Developer to join our team. This person would be responsible for designing, developing, configuring and deploying web applications. 

Responsibilities

• Creating and updating technical documentation
• Agile software development methodology
• Gathering requirements and managing backlog
• Communication with product owner and managing customer expectations
• Communication with vendors and lateral teams  
• Experience with learning and implementing commercial-of-the-shelf platforms
• Customer/end user support experience

Skills Required

• Experience with Microsoft Office platform, including SharePoint Online
• Intermediate understanding of Microsoft Word; templates, document properties, fields, macros
• Client-side coding experience; HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for user interfaces customization
• Familiarity with JavaScript libraries; jQuery, React, Angular, etc.
• Web content management experience; adding/removing content, creating/maintaining taxonomy  
• Data management; normalizing and updating data sets
• Familiarity with Microsoft SQL databases
• Exposure to and/or interest in server-side languages; C# and Visual Basic Script
• Web technology troubleshooting experience; reading logs, isolating sources, and resolving errors
• Working knowledge of either Agile, Scrum, Kanban or Waterfall methodologies  
• Experience of working in Agile, Lean or Continuous Delivery teams  
• Good communication and interpersonal skills 

Essentials

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field and 7+ years’ experience and strong understanding of ASP.NET, C#, .NET and Web Services
• Clearance: Active Top-Secret Clearance is required
• Certifications: MCSD, MCP, etc. is preferred
• Onsite: 50% onsite in Washington, DC is required
