What You Will Do

The Engine Design & Systems Integration (EDSI) group at Pratt & Whitney is currently looking for a motivated Intern in Systems Design to join our team in support of commercial and military small Turbo Jets (TJ) and Auxiliary Power Units (APU). In EDSI-Mil APU & TJ, we are responsible for the development of system level and component level designs in support of various small engine programs.

As a Systems Design Intern, you will participate in the execution of ongoing design & requirement integration efforts across the military and commercial APU & TJ product line. This design and requirements integration activity spans all phases of the engineering life cycle, including: development, qualification, production, sustainment, and engineering changes.

Qualifications You Must Have 

  • Enrolled in a degree program in Mechanical, Aerospace, Systems Engineering or a related field.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Proficient in MS Office Suite – Excel, Power Point, Word.
  • Exposure to some CAD tools: UG NX, CREO, or CATIA
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
