Ron Tonkin Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram Fiat has the highest volume of MOPAR vehicle sales in Portland, OR. To keep up with our expanding dealership, we renovated our entire facility and upgraded all of our Service Department equipment. We are aggressively pursuing Automotive Technician/Mechanics to join our Service team.

Our Automotive Technicians/Mechanics play a pivotal role in our Service Team. From running diagnostics to being a role model for the younger and less experienced technicians, your role will make a difference. The ideal candidate would be someone who works in a time-efficient manner and likes to get things done the right way.

Automotive Technician/Mechanic Job Responsibilities

• Diagnose automotive problems as they arise.
• Conducting inspections, repairing engine failure, repairing mechanical and electrical systems, and replacing parts.
• Comply with manufacturer specifications throughout the repair/servicing process.
• Mentor and help other technicians on the Service Team.

Automotive Technician/Mechanic Benefits and Compensation

Flat-Rate Pay – the pay rate depends on certifications and experience but ranges from $30 - $45/hour for Technicians.

• $50 - $75 per hour with an Apprentice!

Automotive Technician/Mechanic Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience as a Certified Technician.
• ASE Certifications.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Personal Tools.

Corporate Hiring Requirements: Must be at least 18 years of age, have a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
