Accounts Payable Director

Job Description:

Dave & Buster’s  is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounts Payable Director to lead the accounts payable department and ensure the accurate and efficient processing of financial transactions. This role requires a strong understanding of accounts payable processes, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to drive improvements in financial operations.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and lead the accounts payable team, overseeing all daily accounts payable functions.
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
• Develop and implement accounts payable policies and procedures, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Monitor and reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial regulations.
• Collaborate with internal departments to resolve discrepancies and optimize financial operations.
• Utilize technology, including ERP systems and automation tools, to streamline accounts payable processes.
• Provide training and support to team members.
• Manage vendor relationships and ensure positive interactions.
• Generate reports and analyze data to support financial reporting and decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies, including SOX compliance where applicable.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to enhance efficiency.

Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
• A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in accounts payable, including management experience, is required.
• A proven track record of successfully managing accounts payable operations and leading teams is required.
• A strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations is required.
• Experience with Workday and SAP Concur is preferred.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills are required.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities are required.
• The ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively is required.
