Cloud Cyber Security Specialist

Rooms to Go is looking for a Cyber Security Specialist to work with our growing Cloud Cyber Intelligence Team. The Cyber Security Specialist supports multiple areas within the information security discipline, including but not limited to: Access Control, Application Security, Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery, Cryptography, Information Security and Risk Management, Legal and Regulatory Compliance, Operations Security, Physical Security, Security Architecture and Design, and Network Security.

Responsibilities: 

• Provide troubleshooting assistance for basic security issues.
• Assist in developing and executing testing plans to ensure implementation quality.
• Support the preparation of reports for security events and incidents.
• Provide system and network architecture support for security technologies.
• Assist with equipment consolidation or business relocation initiatives.
• Support lead analysts with attack simulations and penetration tests.
• Track and document vulnerability remediation and mitigation efforts.
• Perform capacity analysis and preventative maintenance activities.
• Participate in Change Management and Problem Management processes.
• Monitor and respond to incident response and recovery efforts under supervision.
• Perform daily operational (“keep the lights on”) security tasks.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Understanding of data processing controls across hardware, software, and networks.
• Familiarity with data-at-rest and data-in-motion encryption technologies.
• Working knowledge of security policies, procedures, and documentation standards.
• Experience with server operating systems, certificates, and encryption tools.
• Understanding of penetration testing and the OSI Layer 7 model.
• Scripting and automation fundamentals.
• Knowledge of cloud technologies, security architectures, and best practices.
• Experience with tools such as Microsoft Windows Server, IIS, PKI, Apache, network routers and switches, firewalls, IDS/IPS, Azure ATP, and Azure Sentinel.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Security, or Cybersecurity required.
• CompTIA Security+ certification required.
