THE JOB:

The Laborer Diver is responsible for providing general support across all areas of the property, with a specific focus on tasks related to the maintenance and operation of the Bellagio Fountains and the "O" Show pool. This includes assisting with the upkeep, repairs, and functionality of these iconic water features, ensuring they operate smoothly and safely. The role plays a key part in preserving the aesthetic and operational excellence of these attractions.

STARTING RATE: $18.22 an hour

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Material Handling & Support: Transport and deliver necessary parts, materials, and equipment to designated work areas. Assist with office, furniture, and casino equipment moves, as well as demolition and cleanup during construction projects.

• Inventory & Maintenance: Pick up parts and supplies from vendors and ensure the property maintenance department warehouse remains clean, organized, and orderly.

• Task Completion & Record Keeping: Complete all jobs assigned by Dispatch or Management and accurately maintain logbooks.

• Equipment Operation: Operate motorized and power equipment such as skyjacks, forklifts, scissor lifts, jackhammers, and other heavy machinery. Handle fueling and servicing of engineering vehicles and maintain inventory of keys and tools in the Engineering Tool Room.

• Aquatic Cleaning & Maintenance: Perform cleaning and maintenance of bodies of water, including fountains and showroom features, from above or underwater using scuba diving equipment. Ensure underwater structures remain clean and functional to maintain aesthetic and operational standards.

• Self-Directed Work: Work independently with minimal supervision to complete tasks efficiently and on time.

• Technical Updates & Reporting: Stay informed on current techniques and technical methods, and promptly report any unusual conditions within the property to the Shift Supervisor.

• Safety & Cleanliness: Maintain a high standard of personal and property cleanliness, safety, and accident prevention. Always wear and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

• Specialized Skills: Operate and navigate a boat when necessary.

• Additional Duties: Perform other job-related duties as requested.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Education: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.

• Availability: Must be able to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.

• Certifications: Must be willing and able to obtain Open Water Diver Certification within 90 days of employment (training and certification provided by the company as part of the training process).

• CPR Certification: Must be willing and able to obtain CPR certification within 90 days of employment (training and certification provided by the company as part of the training process).

• Driver’s License: A valid driver’s license is required.

• Comfort in Aquatic Environments: Comfortable working around water, in confined spaces, and performing tasks such as scuba diving or navigating watercraft.

• Boat Operation: Experience with or willingness to learn boat driving and operation for job-related tasks.

• Technical Skills: Proficient in operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, scissor lifts, skyjacks, and other motorized machinery.

• Handyman Experience: Skilled in basic maintenance, repairs, and construction tasks, with a strong aptitude for troubleshooting and problem-solving.

• Customer Service: Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ensuring a positive and professional experience when interacting with team members and stakeholders.
