Position: Overnight Quality Technician
Department: Quality
Shift: Rotating 12-hour; Night Shift; 5:50pm- 6am
Reports To: Quality Engineer

Responsibilities:
The Quality Technician is responsible for performing quality product checks, reviewing production paperwork for accuracy, and helping to assure compliance to quality and food safety procedures in the Production Area.
Specific duties include:
- Performs quality checks daily across all Production lines to ensure product compliance. Reports any non-conformances to Technician, Production Supervisor and/or Quality Management, and follows up to ensure non-conformances are corrected
- Performs audits on Production paperwork and documentation to ensure that product checks are being conducted in accordance with procedures, traceability information is recorded properly, and all other required information is correct
- Ensures Line Clearances are performed as required, and confirms data accuracy of First-off Verifications
- Monitors sorting activities to ensure being conducted properly
- Assists with monitoring adherence to company Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) on the production floor through the use of audits and observations
- Performs training relating to Quality and GMP policies and procedures
- Performs internal verifications on scales and other equipment
- Supports site QMS & compliance activities relating to SQF, FDA, ISO and customer requirements
- Suggests ideas for quality improvements
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- 1 year + in similar Quality or related role inspecting product
- High attention to detail
- Computer skills (Excel, Word, ability to learn Greiner CAQ product inspection software)
- Familiar with measurement equipment (micrometers, calipers, etc)
- Experience in the food packaging / processing industry preferred
- Requires hand washing multiple times throughout a shift, including exposure to cleaning agents that may be harsh to the skin. (PPE Provided)
