Job Description
Deal Evaluation & Analysis
- Advise and partner with regional teams on developing client deal analysis and business case materials
- Identify opportunities for data analysis that enhance Visa’s deal decision capabilities
- Perform ad hoc analysis to find insights that support future deal structuring
- Develop updated repository of deal data and design reporting/analysis of key deal attributes
Deal Modeling
- Lead initiatives to improve deal model functionality through collaboration with and feedback from global and regional teams
- Develop, maintain, and enhance issuing and Debit Processing Service (DPS) deal models, and other analytical tools with the goal of driving efficiency and upgrading decision capabilities
Deal Methodology, Procedures and Reporting
- Be a thought leader and collaborate with the regions to build on existing methodologies
- Manage and improve procedures with the goal of optimizing control and efficiency
- Implement client incentive issuing deal methodologies and procedures
- Oversee reporting and data collection activities
- Facilitate executive deal review sessions and drive efficient decision-making
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:• 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD
• Hands-on experience with investment, valuation, and/or transactional decision analytics
• Strong data research and analytical capabilities
• Advanced skills with MS Excel (including VBA), PowerPoint, and business intelligence tools
• Demonstrated financial analysis and problem-solving skills across a wide range of situations
• Ability to effectively synthesize and translate data into actionable information
• Strong written, verbal, and formal presentation skills
• Ability to effectively facilitate executive meetings
• Ability to communicate complex concepts to a wide range of audiences, including executive leadership
Preferred Qualifications:
• 10 years of work experience, preferably in both technical (e.g., basic programming) and business (e.g., Finance, Strategy, Operations Management) roles
• Finance/Economics/Engineering degree and/or MBA from top-tier institution preferred
• Exposure to the payments and/or banking industries
• Have mindset of continued improvement of analytics, methodologies, and processes
• Ability to work successfully in ambiguous environments
• Willingness and ability to generate and communicate new ideas
• Ability to lead and effectively work with cross-functional teams
• Be excited about owning analytical models and methodologies that support senior management in critical business decisions.
Additional Information
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.
