The Role
Morning Consult is seeking a highly experienced, strategic Senior Enterprise Account Executive, Financial Services to drive complex, high-value sales of our Intelligence platform to leading organizations in the financial services sector—including banking, insurance, asset management, and fintech. This advanced role is ideal for a sales leader with a proven track record of exceeding quotas in SaaS, data, or market research environments, and who thrives in dynamic, high-stakes situations requiring creative solutions and deep industry expertise.
As a senior member of our SaaS Sales team, you will independently own and drive the full sales cycle for our most strategic financial services opportunities, leveraging your expertise to influence key decision-makers and shape the future of our client relationships. You will also play a critical role in mentoring and developing less experienced team members, contributing to the overall success and culture of the team.

What You'll Be Working On:

  • Lead complex, high-value sales cycles with minimal oversight, including advanced qualification, discovery, and deal structuring for enterprise financial services clients.
  • Develop and execute creative go-to-market strategies to penetrate new accounts and expand existing relationships within the financial services vertical, often in ambiguous or rapidly evolving environments.
  • Own top-of-funnel and full-cycle sales activities—from prospecting and outreach to closing—while setting the standard for best practices and innovative approaches.
  • Deliver compelling, customized platform demonstrations and thought leadership to C-level and executive stakeholders, leveraging deep product and financial services industry knowledge.
  • Build and nurture multi-level relationships with key stakeholders, including C-suite executives, across banking, insurance, asset management, and fintech organizations.
  • Analyze complex client needs and market data to craft tailored solutions and proposals that align with both client objectives and Morning Consult’s strategic goals.
  • Maintain rigorous pipeline management and forecasting in Salesforce, ensuring data integrity and providing insights to inform business strategy.
  • Mentor and coach team members, sharing expertise and fostering a collaborative, high-performance environment.
  • Contribute to the development of sales methodologies and processes, helping to shape the future of the Business Development team.
  • Represent Morning Consult externally as a subject matter expert in financial services, building relationships with key industry leaders and partners.
  • Gather and share market and client feedback with product, marketing, and leadership teams to inform product development and go-to-market strategy.
  • Continuously improve through feedback and proactively share actionable insights to drive team and organizational improvement.
  • Perform other tasks and duties as may be required or assigned from time to time in the Company’s discretion.

About You and What You've Done:

  • 8+ years of enterprise sales experience, with a strong record of closing complex deals in SaaS, data, or market research environments—at least 5 years focused on financial services clients.
  • BS/BA or equivalent; advanced degree a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage and close high-value, multi-stakeholder sales cycles within the financial services sector.
  • Deep intellectual curiosity and the ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights for diverse audiences.
  • Advanced knowledge of financial services industry trends, regulations, and business challenges.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with experience presenting to executive and C-level audiences.
  • Familiarity with survey research and its methods (highly valued, but not required).Proven ability to mentor, coach, and elevate team performance.
  • Experience contributing to the development of sales processes, methodologies, or best practices.
