Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Solution Design & Architecture
  • Develop comprehensive solution blueprints and architecture diagrams covering application, data, integration, and infrastructure layers.
  • Evaluate and select appropriate approaches based on business needs, total cost of ownership, and long-term maintainability.
  • Ensure designs meet non-functional requirements including scalability, performance, security, availability, and compliance.
  • Define integration strategies for systems spanning on-premises, cloud, and third-party environments.
  1. Requirements Analysis & Translation
  • Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical specifications and architecture designs.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, prototyping, and proof-of-concepts to validate architectural decisions.
  • Identify gaps between requirements and existing system capabilities, recommending modernization, extension, or replacement strategies.
  1. Technology & Platform Expertise
  • Architect solutions leveraging different COTS and non-COTS based application frameworks.
  • Develop strategies for integrating software with enterprise systems, ensuring data integrity, interoperability, and security.
  • Provide guidance on platform configuration vs. customization trade-offs.
  1. Governance, Standards & Best Practices
  • Ensure architectural compliance with enterprise architecture frameworks, security policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Define and enforce design standards, coding practices, and architectural patterns for development teams.
  • Review and approve solution designs, ensuring adherence to enterprise roadmaps and target state architectures.
  1. Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
  • Present solution concepts, architecture options, and trade-offs to business and technical audiences, including executives.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to project managers, developers, and business leaders on architecture decisions.
  • Facilitate workshops and design sessions to align stakeholders on solution direction.
  1. Implementation Oversight
  • Support development teams during build and integration phases, ensuring adherence to design specifications.
  • Assist in resolving technical challenges, performance bottlenecks, and integration issues.
  • Conduct architecture reviews and solution audits during and after implementation.

Qualifications

Must Have Skills:

  • Broad architectural expertise spanning custom-built solutions (full-stack web, enterprise applications, microservices, APIs).
  • Well deft in COTS solutions and vendor product integration.
  • Strong knowledge of architecture frameworks (TOGAF, or equivalent).
  • Proficiency in solution design methodologies, UML, and modeling tools.
  • Understanding of security architecture principles (identity management, encryption, compliance standards).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a strategic mindset.

Good to Have Skills:

  • Certifications such as TOGAF, AWS/Azure/GCP Architect, ITIL, or equivalent.

Experience:

  • 14+ years in IT solution architecture, including hands-on experience with diverse technology stacks.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering large-scale solutions.
  • Proven track record of working across multiple technical domains (web, mobile, enterprise applications, integration, and data).
  • Experience in enterprise-scale migrations, system consolidations, or digital transformation initiatives.

Education & Certification:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Additional Information

Salary: USD $180,000 - $200,000 Gross (Includes base + bonuses) + Nagarro Standard Benefits
