Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Associate Network Engineer to join our IT Infrastructure team. This is an entry-level position ideal for candidates with foundational knowledge of networking concepts and some experience in IT support, help desk, or junior network roles. You’ll work closely with experienced engineers to support and maintain our global network infrastructure, gaining exposure to enterprise technologies and best practices.
This position is located in our Richmond, VA office and offers a schedule of Monday -Thursday in office and Friday remote. This position may require up to 25% travel to standup new offices.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the monitoring and basic troubleshooting of network infrastructure including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points.
Respond to network-related support tickets, escalating issues to senior engineers as needed.
Help with documentation of network configurations, diagrams, and procedures.
Participate in office network setups, including cabling, device configuration, and connectivity testing.
Support inventory and asset tracking for network hardware.
Collaborate with IT teams including NetOps, Service Desk, and Systems to ensure reliable connectivity and performance.
Work with various networking technologies including but not limited to:
Firewalls – Palo Alto
SDWAN – Palo Alto Prisma
Cisco Catalyst switches
Wireless – Arub
