Warehouse Foreman
Purpose Statement:
The job of Warehouse Foreman is done for the purpose/s of maintaining required inventory levels; ensuring specifications, quantity and quality of order are correct; verifying stock and identifying losses; and maintaining and organized warehouse lay out, ensuring that assignments are completed in a safe, proper and timely manner and directing assigned workers.
Essential Functions
- Attends meetings for the purpose of receiving and/or conveying information.
- Conducts physical inventories for the purpose of updating computerized inventory, verifying stock and identifying losses.
- Coordinates scheduling of services of assigned areas for the purpose of meeting staffing requirements while complying with all district, state and federal regulations.
- Coordinates warehouse purchases with purchasing department for the purpose of ensuring that expenditures are within budget.
- Maintains various files and records for the purpose of documenting activities, and providing materials and reliable resource information.
- Maintains warehouse inventory for the purpose of ensuring availability of items as required.
- Responds to inquiries for the purpose of providing requested information and/or ref erring to appropriate resources.
- Supervises assigned personnel in warehouse facility for the purpose of administering personnel procedures, monitoring performance and achieving the department's overall objectives.
- Trains assigned personnel (e.g. forklift, powered electric equipment, etc.) for the purpose of developing professional trade and safety awareness skills that comply with OSHA regulations.
Other Functions
- Assists other personnel as may be required for the purpose of supporting them in the completion of their work activities.

Mental Requirements
Learning Development- Level C Sufficient to read and write technical instruction, understand standardized methods, operate specialized and varied equipment, perform standard mathematical applications. Learning development involves the equivalent of some technical or vocational training beyond high school, often resulting in a certification.
Problem Solving - Level 1 Work situations are routine and regularly recurring, requiring attention and concentration, but limited discretion, consideration, and planning to adequately respond and carry out work activities.
Physical Requirements
Physical Skill - Level A Basic level of learned physical skill is required. No special coordination beyond that used for normal mobility and handling of everyday objects and materials is needed to perform the job satisfactorily.
Physical Effort - Level 2 Job requires light physical effort as a part of regular work routine, such as frequent standing and walking; frequent lifting, guiding, and/or carrying of light-weight materials or equipment; occasional periods of sustained effort.
Social Requirements
Human Relations Skill- Level B Job requires patience in communication and well-developed verbal skills to exchange technical or complex information with individuals or small, informal groups. skills in establishing harmonious relationships and gaining cooperation are important.
Scope of Contacts - Level 1 The important job contacts are with peers in the immediate work group and immediate supervisor. Occasional contact with individuals outside the organization may occur.
