The Director of Business Operations Opportunity

Okta is seeking a Director, Business Operations to lead and optimize our product development processes across our Customer Identity Cloud Product Unit. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in implementing SaaS operations, exceptional strategic skills, and a track record of driving operational efficiency and scaling through growth. This role is pivotal in ensuring clear definition of our strategic objectives and the efficient alignment across all our product domains. Reporting to the Vice President of Delivery Enablement and Operations, we are looking for someone with a passion for technology, security and operational excellence. 

What you’ll be doing 

• Partner with Product, Engineering, and other product development functions across Okta, in order to drive and manage long range roadmap planning, annual planning and quarterly planning processes, while continuously driving process improvements to streamline workflows, reduce operational burden, improve delivery and decision making.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance delivery efficiency, productivity and scalability. Influence and implement best practices across all operational functions. Ensure that our processes align with the business needs and are enhancing our delivery and execution. 
• Establish and monitor key performance indicators to measure product development success. Provide regular reports and insights to senior leadership on operational performance. 
• Ensure that operations support exceptional customer experiences by continuously seeking feedback and implementing improvements to enhance customer satisfaction. 

What you’ll bring to the role

• 10+ years of business operations or management consulting experience. 
• Track record of working with executive teams to deliver large scale operational programs.
• Ability to clearly communicate and establish credibility with an executive audience.
• Skilled in fostering collaboration and influencing varying levels of a matrix organization.
• Strong attention to detail and focus on data-informed execution.
• Passion for understanding ambiguous, complex problems and driving creative operational solutions.
• Strong understanding of SaaS business models and metrics.
• Experience with agile and other program management methodologies.

• Working at a high paced, fast growing tech startup.

Below is the annual base salary range for candidates located in California, Colorado, New York and Washington. Your actual base salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. In addition, Okta offers equity (where applicable), bonus, and benefits, including health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies.
