Job Description
The project manager is a key interface between automotive customer (GM) and the Bosch cross functional team & departments, successfully launch projects containing ED products including Engine Cooling Fan Modules, Wiper systems, Pumps, Valves and Actuators. Cost, timing and quality responsible, including tracking and reporting of project status and risks. Moderate cross-functional project teams and negotiates project trade-offs internally and with customer. Project scope varies from initial applications to consecutive applications, managing interface with internal and external customers. Additional department responsibilities include OTD and customer approval tracking for ratio projects and ECRs including design changes, replacement and capacity tooling.
Report to the Global Customer Team - GM and to the regional business unit leadership team on project OTD, profit tracking, cost reduction projects and special topics.
Lead management meetings and Project health checks including consequential escalation and tracking.
Support new process role outs and assure NA compliance to the industry and Bosch quality directives.
Support project management excellence with a strong process orientation to improving both the project management efficiency and the cross functional teamwork.
Specific task responsibility includes:
- Definition of project team structure (incl. necessary skills and competencies of project team members and contributors)
- Achievement of project objective and targets (time, cost, spec., budget and profit, scope, quality, procurement) incl. escalation if project target is jeopardized
- Sample coordination (technical version, ordering and tracking)
- Initiation of product releases
- Product change management activities (incl. explanation of change and impact to customer from technical side)
- Launch management
- Monthly tracking of project budget
- Support of product change management activities (commercial clarification through sales manager)
- Support of quotation calculation including scenarios and detailed plausibility checks (including Plant, logistics, sample, tooling and application & calibration costs)
- Support of Engineering Change Requests/cost reduction initiatives
- Support of invoicing of special revenue (including tooling, application & calibration costs, logistics, samples)
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree
- 5 Years Automotive Project Management
- Proficient in English
Preferred:
- Bachelor degree in Engineering
- PMI / RKPMQ certification
- Highly Motivated
- Self-Starter
