This position, located at Schriever Space Force Base in Colorado Springs, CO, plays a key role in supporting the U.S. President, the Secretary of Defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels.

Position Overview:
The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program is a crucial part of the Missile Defense System. It provides an essential operational platform that enables the U.S. president, the secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and tactical levels to systematically plan ballistic missile defense operations, monitor battle progress, and actively manage networked sensors and weapon systems to achieve global and regional mission objectives. C2BMC offers a layered missile defense capability, delivering an optimized response to threats across all ranges and flight phases. It acts as a force multiplier by connecting, integrating, and synchronizing autonomous sensor and weapon systems and operations both worldwide and locally to enhance overall performance. Additionally, C2BMC is a vital component of all ground and flight tests that verify and demonstrate the missile defense system's current and future capabilities.
The selected candidate will join a team reporting to the C2BMC Watch Officer (CWO), who is responsible for daily system monitoring, operations, and maintenance of the C2BMC systems within a 24/7 operations and testing environment.
Essential Functions:
- Provide first-level technical support to the warfighter and perform initial troubleshooting of all local C2BMC hardware, software, and networks
- The candidate will document and report all events/issues to the CWO and receive tasks and directions from the CCC for all operations, tests, and real-world events
- The candidate will also assist with all hardware and software installations as directed by the local SMEs and create and maintain user accounts as directed by the local ISSO
- This position will focus on lab and test activities
- Sound background and experience in troubleshooting hardware and software components
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Perform other duties and assignments as required
Basic Qualifications:

- A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field from an accredited university is preferred, along with 2 years of experience; or a Master’s degree in a related field with no relevant work experience; or related work experience with no years of relevant work experience may be considered
- Applicants must have a current, active in-scope DoD-issued Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is required to start, and the ability to obtain Top Secret clearance and eligibility for SCI clearance
- DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA Security, etc.) is required to start
- The position requires rotating 24/7 shift work. The candidate will be assigned to a specific shift and either an Ops or Training role, based on mission needs. Some substitutions during off-shifts, including nights and weekends, will also be necessary
