We move fast, operate with extreme ownership, and obsess over enabling our sellers to grow.</p> <h2><strong>The Role</strong></h2> <p>We're looking for a Strategic Finance Lead to be a key partner to our executive team as we scale. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role sitting at the intersection of finance, strategy, and operations. You'll own the financial model, drive critical business decisions, and help shape the direction of the company.</p> <p>This is not a back-office accounting role. We want someone who can translate complex financial data into clear strategic narratives, challenge assumptions, and operate as a genuine business partner to every team at Whop.</p> <h2><strong>What You'll Do</strong></h2> <ul> <li><strong>Own the financial model.</strong> Build and maintain a dynamic, company-wide model that supports scenario planning, fundraising, and long-range forecasting.</li> <li><strong>Drive the operating cadence.</strong> Lead monthly and quarterly business reviews, track KPIs across revenue, margins, and unit economics, and surface insights that drive action.</li> <li><strong>Support fundraising and investor relations.</strong> Prepare board materials, investor updates, and diligence packages; serve as a key point of contact for investors.</li> <li><strong>Build the finance function.</strong> As an early member of the finance org, you'll help define processes, tooling, and team structure as we scale.</li> <li><strong>Manage budgeting and headcount planning.</strong> Partner with department heads to set budgets, manage spend, and make tough prioritization calls.</li> <li><strong>Analyze marketplace economics.</strong> Develop deep intuition for Whop's platform metrics — GMV, take rate, seller LTV, cohort retention — and translate them into business insights.</li> </ul> <h2><strong>Who You Are</strong></h2> <ul> <li>5–8 years of experience in investment banking, growth equity, venture capital, or strategic finance at a high-growth tech company</li> <li>Exceptionally strong financial modeling skills — you can build a 3-statement model, LBO, or cohort analysis from scratch</li> <li>Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders with clear, data-driven storytelling</li> <li>Comfortable operating in ambiguity; you don't need a playbook to get started</li> <li>Experience with mar
