Lisbon's hub is contributing to Mollie’s mission of delivering an outstanding Merchant experience that allows Mollie to launch its next set of payments and financial products.

We are currently looking for senior engineers for the following engineering teams. You will be considered for all of these teams. We aim to match engineers to their ideal team based on their preferences and background.

As a Senior Software Engineer in the Channels team in Lisbon you will focus on building the communication tools to streamline answer discovery and unlock efficiency gains to improve our merchants experience.

As a Senior Software Engineer in the Dashboard team Lisbon you will focus on enabling our customers to operate and manage their payments, configure their integration, enable new payment methods, and understand how to get the most out of Mollie.

What you'll be doing

• Help us to build large-scale systems (such as an API gateway, backend-for-frontend), improve our authentication mechanisms, as well as tools to make integration with Mollie’s API even easier

• Work closely with engineers and products to build features at a large scale

• Design, build and maintain APIs, services, and systems across Mollie’s engineering teams

• Evaluate & solve complex problems across the stack

• You will put your skills to the test, allow yourself to grow, and learn rapidly

What you'll bring

• A minimum of 6 years experience in developing large-scale web applications.

• PHP knowledge is preferable. Other languages (like Go, Java, and Python) are a plus.

• Knowledge of modern queuing and caching systems like RabbitMQ and Redis

• Creative problem-solving skills

• Great communication skills and a proven past of working effectively with different stakeholders

Nice to have

• You have worked in a fast-paced environment

• A background working with Google Cloud Platform and/or working as a DevOps engineer

• Solid computer science background
