About the role
The Construction Superintendent will manage and supervise all on-site construction activities to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Duties
- Assist in implementation of project-specific safety and accident prevention programs and maintain safe work areas through regular job-site inspections.
- Maintain thorough understanding of project schedule and budget, enforcing plans and motivating employees to follow through
- Assist project superintendent in locating/onboarding manpower, developing/implementing project plans and maintaining current contract documents
- Schedule and manage multiple crews performing various tasks across the project site
- Allocate resources, plan activities, review work and manage consumables/equipment, including compiling a comprehensive bill of materials and coordinating deliveries
- Comprehend contract drawings/specifications and communicate with owners, inspectors and other trades
- Create isometric drawings and assist project engineers in the shop drawing/submittal process
Requirements
- 5+ years of general construction is required.
- Experience working with water/wastewater is required.
- 2 year technical college is required.
- Bachelor's degree is preferred, but not required.
- Formal apprenticeship training is required.
