Warehouse Maintenance Mechanic - Night Shift

Overview

This position plans, organizes, and performs the maintenance and repair of the building and its equipment.

Responsibilities

Ensure safe operation of all equipment and systems.

• Maintain equipment to ensure reliability – oil, grease, clean, and adjust as needed (conveyor and related equipment, forklifts, etc.).
• Perform maintenance on company owned fleet.
• Basic building maintenance (i.e. repairs to interior/exterior building).

Maintain cost in department (parts, cleaning supplies, etc.).

• Set specifications for new equipment.
• Work with vendors on new equipment.

Other duties, as assigned by the jobholder’s supervisor, may also be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in RELATED FIELD.
• Basic PC skills
• Must be a results-oriented professional with verbal/written communication skills using diplomacy and discretion as well as customer service skills
• Ability to multi-task, work independently and/or within a team, pay attention to detail and meet deadlines
• Analytic and Reporting skills
• Utilize sound judgement and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in fast-paced, high-volume, team environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ability to read blueprints and schematics on electrical equipment
• Experience in building trades (painting, sheet rocking, welding and HVAC)
• Mechanical aptitude
• Knowledge of conveyor/material handling equipment

Physical Requirements:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to remain in a stationary position at times; communicate, and operate a computer and telephone
• Light to moderate lifting is required
