Pay: $49100 - $60100 / year (paid hourly)
Schedule: M - F; day shift (w/ flexibility as needed)
Location: Washington DC | Meta office
The Maintenance Technician supports operation, inspection, and maintenance processes to mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment and systems in assigned facilities. Assists MES Mobile Engineers in maintenance and repair efforts, as well as independently performing defined tasks. Performs inspections and repairs to assigned property interior and exterior areas, including walls and flooring, installed fixtures, roofing systems, lighting, etc.
What this job involves:
Maintenance
- Performance of on-going preventive and repair response client request work orders on facility mechanical, electrical, plumbing and other installed systems, equipment, and other components.
- Perform assigned facility inspections and due diligence efforts, reporting on as found conditions impacting satisfactory client occupancy and operations.
- General interior maintenance – hang pictures, install keyboard trays, repair office furniture systems and repair doors.
- Assist the operations team in the maintenance and repair of building and equipment and/or as directed
- Moves office furniture, machinery, equipment and other materials as requested
- Replace lighting and ballasts
- Clean HVAC coils and change filters and belts
Safety
- Complete Hazard Assessments as necessary
- Comply with all safety procedures, maintaining good housekeeping and safety of work areas. Recognize danger and safety hazards and propose methods to eliminate them.
- Maintain compliance to State, County, or City Ordinances, Codes, or Laws.
- Must complete all required safety trainings as scheduled (initial / annually)
- Complies with all policies for the safe storage, usage and disposal of hazardous materials.
Administrative
- Submit P-card Receipts Daily (as applicable)
- Update work order status in real time
- Utilize CMMS systems such as Corrigo for all work performed.
- Perform Vehicle Safety Inspection prior to use.
- Escalating problems or issues to Customer and Manager in a timely manner
- Attend work and safety meetings as required
Customer Service
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction

- High school diploma or equivalent, with applicable work experience
- Knowledge in general building repair and maintenance, basic understanding of plumbing, and electrical, minimum 1-2 years preferred
- Knowledge in the use of various power tools
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to gain forklift certification
Physical Work Requirements/Work Conditions
- Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Working from heights.
- Ability to work exposed to heat, sunlight, rain, cold, daylight and nighttime hours as required.
- Frequently climbing, bending, lifting, kneeling, stooping, and working/extending overhead.
- Climbing a ladder up to 30 feet, working at heights, and in enclosed spaces
Estimated compensation for this position:
49,100.00 – 60,100.00 USD per yearThis range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
