Facilities Maintenance Mechanic – JLL
What this job involves:
The Facilities Maintenance Mechanic delivers comprehensive electrical and mechanical support for assigned buildings, serving as a critical resource for facility operations and building performance. This hands-on role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities including low/medium voltage power systems, HVAC systems and controls, mechanical troubleshooting, preventive maintenance programs, emergency response, and vendor coordination. You'll provide essential support for power systems, lighting systems and controls, and various facility subsystems while ensuring optimal building operations. This position includes on-call responsibilities for after-hours emergencies, making you a key contributor to maintaining safe, functional, and efficient building environments that support JLL's commitment to operational excellence.
What your day-to-day will look like:
Perform general interior maintenance tasks including hanging pictures, installing keyboard trays, repairing office furniture systems, and responding to tenant service requests
Maintain and troubleshoot lighting systems by replacing bulbs and ballasts, and support HVAC operations through coil cleaning, filter changes, and belt replacements
Execute minor plumbing repairs and assist the operations team with building equipment maintenance and repair activities
Conduct assigned facility inspections and due diligence efforts, documenting as-found conditions and reporting findings to appropriate stakeholders
Move office furniture, machinery, equipment, and materials as requested to support building operations and tenant needs
Complete special tasks including painting, locksmith work, and general maintenance projects as assigned
Respond to after-hours emergency calls when on-call rotation requires, ensuring building systems remain operational
Required Qualifications:
At least 1 year of applicable working experience in general building repair and maintenance
Demonstrated hands-on experience with basic carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work
Physical capability to lift a minimum of 80 lbs regularly
Ability to use ladders up to 30 ft and work safely from heights
Physical capability to climb a ladder with a 300-lb weight limit while carrying a tool bag weighing approximately 20 lbs
Ability to perform frequent walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, lifting, stooping, and working/extending overhead throughout the workday
Preferred Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Completion of an applicable technical training program in facilities maintenance, building systems, or related field
Experience with HVAC system troubleshooting and controls
Familiarity with low/medium voltage electrical systems
Background in vendor management and coordination
Knowledge of preventive maintenance programs and building management systems

Work Shift: 7:00 am – 3:30 pm

Estimated compensation for this position:
56,160.00 – 56,160.00 USD per yearThis range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
