What You’ll Learn

• Project: Help understand how HPC and AI applications will perform on next-generation architectures
• Skills You’ll Learn:
  • Scalable High Performance Computing modeling & simulation
  • HPC Application / OS Analysis
  • Architectural optimization

What You’ll Do

• Improving architectural analysis and simulation frameworks for next-generation HPC systems
• Measuring and modeling the communication patterns of HPC and AI applications using different programming models
• Use this information to propose HW & SW architecture improvements for a large, tightly-connected collection of nodes
• Complete other responsibilities as assigned.

Location: Hybrid, working onsite at our San Jose, CA headquarters 3 days per week, with the flexibility to work remotely the remainder of your time  

What You Bring

• Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering  
• Experience with gem5 & SST simulation tools 
• (Preferred) Experience with HPC systems and software 
• Excellent C++ programming skills 
• (Preferred) In-Depth familiarity with high-performance computer architecture (processors, network, or memory) 
• (Preferred) Familiarity with common Unix/Linux/MacOS build and make systems (E.g. GNU Autotools, CMake)
• An avid learner, you approach challenges with curiosity and resilience, seeking data to help build understanding.
• You’re collaborative, building relationships, humbly offering support and openly welcoming approaches.
• Innovative and creative, you proactively explore new ideas and adapt quickly to change.
